My love for photography started with dance. As a competitive dancer myself, I fell in love with the movement, strength, and pure beauty of dancers. I think that it was dance that taught me the fundamentals that it takes to become a photographer and entrepreneur. It taught persistence; it taught dedication. I turned my love for dance into a photographic practice, attending the Sheridan Honours Bachelor of Photography degree program. I loved learning about art and fashion from some of the best teachers in the country. My final thesis became so much more than just images of dancers; they combined my love for fashion, portraiture, and movement.

 

I’ve learned just as much about dance from being a dance instructor as I have from being a competitive dancer. Being able to relate to dancers on a personal and emotional level allows me to capture extraordinary qualities that other photographers may miss. After learning the ins and outs of branding and marketing, I expanded to lifestyle and personal branding sessions in 2019.

 

In 2020, I aim to work with new dancers, new faces, and new companies. Based in the Greater Toronto Area but also available for travel, contact me to start planning your next session.
